SEAWATCH Euromar Programme 1990 - 1995
SEAWATCH Europe was a five year SEAWATCH R&D programme for operational marine monitoring. It represented the core of SEAWATCH from which most of the SEAWATCH development was initiated. Several partners contributed to SEAWATCH Europe. The private sector was represented by Statoil, Norsk Hydro, Conoco, Norske Shell, OCN Netherlands, OCEANOR and various insurance companies. Public sector sponsors were the Norwegian Research Council, the Industry Development Fund, the State Pollution Control Authority and the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrographic Institute.This project was the foundation for the Seawatch projects in the Mediterranean countries, Latin America and Asia.
